We believe that you should pay for what you get in accordance with the value you received. This varies from person to person.
JUMPSTART YOUR ART WORKSHOPS
We’re trying something different here. There is no set price for the workshop, such that you can pay in accordance with the value you receive. I am trusting that my services will be rewarded accordingly, and I am allowing you to use your money or other resources as a form of energy or an agreement of value, such that you can actually express yourself with it, as part of you.
Comparable “process-based” creativity workshops can run upwards of $750 to significantly less. Julia Cameron charges $275 for a two-day workshop. Another Artist’s Way coach charges $600 for a three-day workshop and a month of coaching. A better-priced, 13-week course costs $300 from yet a different coach. I encourage you to Google creativity workshops and Artist Way workshops, just to compare. However, I know that many artists have rent to pay and cats to feed, and that kind of coin is tough to part with.
Besides the bi-weekly meetings, you get "phone support" (a weekly coaching call) to assist you in working out any blocks, for brainstorming, etc., as your needs dictate.
Keep in mind that “process-based” workshops, while useful, effective and fun, do not hold you to regular deadlines for producing your work. If you keep your agreements, you will finish the workshop with at least SIX new works. Consider the value of that.
Workshop Payment Guidelines:
- Workshops are paid in 3-month blocks (6 meetings). The workshop can be joined at any time in the cycle with a 3-month commitment.
- $200 - $250 is an acceptable “market-based” amount that would demonstrate to me that you are receiving ample value for my time and energy.
- If the value you receive exceeds this amount, I encourage you to express that accordingly.
- If you the value you receive exceeds what you can pay financially, we can work something out based on energy exchange/barter or even a deal to “pay it forward” where appropriate.
PRIVATE ARTIST COACHING
FEES: Most life coaches charge in the neighborhood of $300/month. If you can afford that, terrific. If you can't, let's talk and we can work something out, between lower fees, barters, etc.
